Amy Brosnahan-Tapia
Attorney
Born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina, Amy Brosnahan is deeply committed to serving families in need, drawing on both personal and professional experiences to provide compassionate legal counsel. After practicing family law in Mecklenburg County, Amy has returned to Raleigh, where she continues to help individuals and families navigate some of life’s most challenging legal matters.
Amy graduated top of her class at Campbell University, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice with a minor in Political Science. It was during her undergraduate years that she first became passionate about advocating for others when she worked as a Guardian ad Litem, advocating for children in foster care. In this role, Amy represented the interests of children and families during incredibly difficult times, an experience that solidified her desire to pursue a career in family law.
Driven by a passion for justice and empathy, Amy earned her Juris Doctorate from Wake Forest University School of Law. Her legal education and hands-on experience in family law have equipped her with the skills and knowledge to guide clients through the complexities of divorce, custody, child support, and other family-related legal issues.
Family is at the heart of Amy’s values, shaped by her own experience of enduring a profound loss that brought her family closer together. That experience deepened her understanding of the strength and resilience families can show in the face of hardship. It also fuels her commitment to helping others protect their families and find stability during difficult times. Whether navigating a divorce, custody dispute, or another family law matter, Amy brings compassion, empathy, and unwavering support to each client, ensuring they feel heard and understood throughout the legal process.
Outside of the office, Amy enjoys spending quality time with her family, including her husband, Julian, and their two dogs—a Boxer named Paisley and a Doberman named Kora. A passionate traveler, Amy has explored destinations across the globe, including China, Russia, France, England, Alaska, Spain, and Italy. She has a deep appreciation for experiencing new cultures and values the opportunity to learn from the diverse people she meets along the way.
