Grand jury warrant issued for Young Jeezy

American hip hop artist Young Jeezy recently turned himself in for assaulting his son in 2012 after a grand jury warrant was issued, an article from the Huffington Post reported on Tuesday, January 7.

According to court documents, the 36-year-old Atlanta-based rapper was charged with battery for abusing his son. Jeezy reportedly assaulted his son by slamming him into a glass shower door and pulling him into a bedroom. The rapper, whose real name is Jay Wayne Jenkins, also reportedly threatened his son, saying he would put a bullet on his head.

Jeezy surrendered to police in accordance with the warrant issued against him and was later released after posting a bail of $45,000.
