After seven years of marriage, Laura Dern and Ben Harper are ending their marriage. Laura Dern, 45, filed official divorce documents on Friday, but Harper had originally filed these same papers back in 2010, citing irreconcilable differences.
The couple tried to reconcile after the first divorce filing, but it was ultimately unsuccessful. When Ben Harper asked for a divorce in 2010 after five years of marriage, he wanted joint custody of their children and asked for Laura to not receive any spousal support.
Laura Dern has different plans for their divorce this time. She is seeking primary custody of her 7-year-old daughter and 10-year-old son that she has with Harper. She has also filed for Harper to pay her child support and spousal support and to also cover her lawyer fees during the divorce procedure.
