Shriver not likely to receive spousal support

Following Maria Shriver’s divorce petition, former governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger filed papers requesting that Shriver not be awarded alimony.

Furthermore, Schwarzenegger asked that court costs and attorneys fees be split jointly between him and his wife of 25-years.

Experts believe Schwarzenegger is requesting to deny Shriver of alimony because she is likely to receive a generous portion of their jointly-owned marital assets.

Based off Schwarzenegger’s previous statements, Shriver is expected to receive assets that will generate enough financial support to allow her to continue living the lifestyle she became accustomed to during her marriage.
