Janelle Brienzi
Attorney

Janelle Brienzi has practiced family law in North Carolina since graduating from North Carolina Central University School of Law in 2008. She initially spent eight years at Merritt, Webb, Wilson & Caruso, PLLC in Durham before managing her own firm in Wake County where she practiced for six years before joining Marshall & Taylor, PLLC. Her practice focuses exclusively on all aspects of family law, including contested and uncontested divorce, separation and prenuptial agreements, child custody and support, equitable distribution, spousal support, domestic violence, and adoption — allowing her to give each client’s case the full attention these life-changing matters deserve. Janelle also offers basic estate planning services and name changes.
In her services as a Parenting Coordinator, Janelle brings her experience mitigating high conflict custody disputes and co-parenting discord. Her commitment to her work in family law traces back to to her passion of working with domestic violence survivors while in undergrad at Appalachian State University and as a crisis line coordinator for Interact during law school — experience that continues to shape her client-centered, patient, and empathetic approach.
Janelle is a member of the NC Bar Association and the 10th judicial District Bar. A western New York native, she lives in the Triangle area with her husband and 5 children.
