Suspected perpetrator of child abuse arrested

Twenty-three-year-old Rowan County, North Carolina resident Dustin Aaron Wilson, who was accused of harming his two-month-old son and has been on the wanted list for some time, was arrested in Buncombe County on November 24, The Piedmont News Station reported.

Local authorities said they started investigation into Wilson’s case late in October after the two-month-old child received treatment at the Rowan Regional Medical Center for injuries consistent with physical abuse.

Wilson has been taken into custody in Swannanoa on warrants of felony child abuse. He is detained temporarily in the Buncombe County Jail pending transport back to Rowan County.
