WI Changes Child Support Nonpayment Penalty

The State of Wisconsin has made a change to the way they handle parents who do not pay child support. Unfortunately, many fear that it may not have been a change for the better.

Where parents who missed too many payments were once subject to up to 6 months jailtime, they may now serve those 6 months under house arrest. Critics of the change believe that this eliminates the incentive for many parents to make their payments.
