Custody Goes to Killed Mother’s Sister and Husband

In 2006, a woman was beaten to death in her home in Wake County. Since then, the custody of her daughter has been up in the air. Family members say that the father has not been able to provide a stable home since his wife's death.

Early this month, a judge ruled that custody of the now 4 year old girl will go to the woman's sister, giving visitation rights to the father. The father will retain custody until August 1, 2009.
